Aoudaghost

Aoudaghost is the capital city of the nation of Kalahari. A rich trading post that grew into a cosmopolitan and prosperous city, it is the seat of power of several Kalaharian merchant houses that trade all over the world. Rare spices, ores, textiles, and all kinds of goods, legal and illegal, can be found in Aoudaghost. The Golden Palace of the Caliph is located in this city. Other points of interest are the Kalahari Aerodrome, the All Merchants Square marketplace, Al-Jahiz University, The Mosque Of Remembrance, and Jahannam Stadium.

The government is a monarchical caliphate ruled by the most powerful merchant house in Kalahari. Laws are not strict, but punishment is severe. Kalaharian law enforces corporal punishment, and even allows for prisoners to face their fate in gladiatorial events at Jahannam Stadium.

The highly capitalistic nature of their plutocracy makes virtues out of greed and the pursuit of profit. As a result, the unbalanced division between rich and poor is highly defined.
